There are, they're called Handicapped parking spaces and they're clearly marked with blue paint and signs.

"RESERVED FOR THE LAZY"
Sadly, I think that is exactly the way people are reacting to THIS!

Some women have miserable pregnancies, especially towards the end. In addition to the weight gain, there can be low back pain and significant water retention with ankle/calf swelling that make it much more difficult to walk. Toss in another child to wrangle and I'd bet most of us who have ever been in that situation would be very thankful for that parking space. I know I would have!

And once you have the baby, and you are out and about with a newborn and maybe a couple more children, well you are on your own sister, you not pregnant anymore, now go park way out there somewhere.

Some of our grocery stores have parking spaces for women with children. (although there is no mention those children need to be present)

They'd be labeled PITA spaces.
Actually, the PITA spaces would be fitting for a lot of people.

Really. Talk about fighting or waiting for a space to open.
Except the ones that are a PITA don't think they are.

What they should have are spots where a parent with 3+ kids can park and then a special cart she can use to corral them all waiting for her at that spot.
Your thinking is so narrow, it frequently surprises me. As a nurse, you should know that there are high-risk pregnancies, and you should know what that can mean.

This is ridiculous. Just reserve some spaces with "Disability Parking Only" and be done with it. If an expectant mother needs to use them, she can get a temporary card to use, same as anyone else.
I don't see a reason why the disability has to be specifically mentioned on the signs.
