@TenderMercies Creepy people come out of the woodwork day or night. Be very careful now that he's been released.
The first home we purchased in the early 1970's was a 3-BR ranch on 1/2 acre. Both of us had been raised in two-story homes. We were so thrilled to have saved enough for a 20% downpayment, that a ranch was a thrill. The first thing I did was have lined drapes made for the living room, dining room, family room, master bedroom and guest room. It was the only way I felt safe! I made lined curtains for the kitchen, both bathrooms, third bedroom and the finished basement windows. We felt safe closing drapes/curtains at night (every night). We sold that home a year later and have always had our bedrooms on the second (or third) story since.
We tried the wooden blinds in this home for several years (six acres behind this home), but went back to custom lined drapes for privacy. Read a lot about peeping and theft in areas a few miles away. So far, this little area has had the same nieghbors for 25-30 years without incident. Feeling very fortunate to have such great friends living close, a safe place to call home, and people who check on me. Plus my family and friends are often here. Convinced activity in a home helps keep it safe.
Hope your next door neighbor is able to shed more light upon the elderly man . . . and perhaps help find a suitable Assisted Living facility for him which may meet him needs.Sounds like he needs help, rather than criticism. WOW, how unsettling on an early Saturday morning!

We have a couple of kids with drones around here (in our neighborhood).
When we hear a buzzing sound near our windows at night............
One day one of them asked if we saw/found their drone in our back yard.......they couldn't find theirs.
We really don't have much privacy now-a-days, no matter what.

These drones scare me. Why on Earth does anyone need one ? I feel they will fall into the hands of criminals... peeping Toms or even worse ..... Terrorists.

old over there .....
Still disturbing .....You know when ever i say ... what next ? something
comes along .....
@not only that @BigJoanie...... (not sure why i cannot tag your name?)
you never know who is going to take those photos to ANOTHER site and post them.....or even alter them.

I found close up photos on the internet of my house and every house in my neighborhood. Recent pictures. I am assuming a drone took them.

@BirkiLady I have custom made blinds in all my windows. Right after the police left, I closed the blinds in the kitchen. I just peeked out between two of the slats, and he is just sitting in his window staring at my house. He’s probably either very sad or very angry. It’s like his favorite tv show was abruptly cancelled. Part of me wants to take a photo as evidence of his creepiness, but then I wouldn’t be much better than him.

When there is smoke there's fire. I bet this man has more of a "history" than people think.
Although I would not want to sit in judgement of this elderly man, I think a judge is qualified to make decision.
