i dont have a problem with paying for shipping, even if it is outrageous. i always build in the cost of shipping and handling to the price of the item. if it seems reasonable at the total price then i will buy it. if i get a great deal on something that is marked down to $2, but the cost to ship it is $15 then i ask myself is the item worth $17......if the answer is yes then i buy.
people do this on ebay all the time. you may see a GREAT price on an item, but then they charge a high shipping fee. i know WHY they are doing it, but it generally doesnt bother me.

actually kohls has free shipping right now on $50+ and normally has free shipping on $75+.
macys right now has free shipping with $25+ and free shipping on beauty.

I do the same thing. If the total cost of something is worth it to me, then I order. If not, I don't. I don't care if they call it shipping, handling, or anything else. The bottom line to me is how much money I have to pay to get it.
And - as someone else mentioned - I've also ordered things and had them shipped to my local store. I've done that a few times, and it was really easy. I just went to pick it up when I was out & about anyway, and it was waiting for me. I've done that for large items (vacuum, TV), and I'd much rather do it that way than pay to have something large and heavy sent directly to me.

That would be a deal breaker for me.

Yes, it's outrageous. I would feel ripped off.
