@FrostyBabe1   That's really cute but what really works is to not answer the phone at all unless you recognize the number.  If there's a response from you, they know it's a good number with a potential sucker and the calls will go on forever.  I never answer, rarely get solicitations.

E233905 is the number here on QVC. I bought one years ago that wasn't as tech savvy  as the current ones are now, but it did the trick.  Once you read about it here then go to Amz or google and do your research for the price you want to pay. So maddening isn't it!!!

If you answer the call for any reason, they will keep calling.  I never answer a call unless I know who is calling.  If anyone really wants to reach me, they can leave a voice mail, or better yet, text.

 

My favorite voicemails are the ones that say I am to be arrested.  A colleague at work got one of these and freaked out.

 

I just don't care.  I don't mind not answering the phone when it rings.  For me, it goes in spurts.  I may get a few one day, none for weeks.  Like I said, I never answer.  They go away.
