If you're sure it's not something you ordered and forgot about, write on it Return to Sender and put it back in the mailbox.

I would open it.  It's in your name, it's yours whether you ordered it or not. Its important that you see the contents and the packing slip to make sure you have not incurred charges to your credit card illegally. Someone could have ordered, put it on your account, sent to you and planned on retrieving from your front door.  You won't know what's up until you open it...and knowing is half the battle.

@Tink814   Maybe get a friend or family member to stand by while you open it if you are afraid. I would have opened it immediately just out of curiosity. Whatever it is, you can deal with it, but if you send it back without opening it you might never know.
