There were 2 styro corners on the short ends of the box. That's it. Both were cracked.
There was NO bubble wrap or any type of protective wrap around the pieces themselves. They were just all stacked together inside the tote. I wonder if it was a returned item? Can't believe they wouldn't wrap the pieces and just let them clank against each other.
The box was crushed and wrinkled on all sides. It was NOT labeled Fragile or glass!
The top of the box was open and there was a huge gash in the material of the tote bag. Now THAT couldn't happen by dropping it!
I was given immediate credit. It is still in my garage. I'm not sure how to even safely dispose of that mess!
I was thinking of leaving it on my front porch with a note to my UPS guy...
"Do you hate me or something....take this back to your hub and show your Supervisor"!! Just kidding, my UPS guy is really nice.
I am sure this just bounced a thousand times from NJ. I'm thinking he shouldn't have delivered it though...the minute you picked it up...you could just hear all the loose/shattered glass and the huge tear in the tote bag was clearly visible!
I'm sure UPS could hear it was all broken. I think when they receive something like that they should not deliver it.
UPS should have an alternate driver that can take care of these type things.
Did Q have any left in stock so you could get a replacement?

UPS does not encourage complaints from the receiver. They prefer to deal with the sender. And after many, many UPS rotten delivery people, we have complained to QVC customer service, with the worn out response from them "I will pass it on." And nothing ever changes because guess what, QVC does not care. Surprise, surprise!

If you don't report it, they won't know.

How would QVC be responsible for your UPS having many, many rotten delivery people?

@Caligurll wrote:Today I'd be happy to have my most recently expected package jammed in my mail box. This particular item, ordered 13 days ago, has been in-state for 4 days, 3 of them at my post office and still not showing as out for delivery. I mean come on, it only took 2 days to get from the east coast to the west coast, to a city about 100 miles from me. The rest of the time was spent as in process, then to advance order, then back to in process. I'm very patient, but this is ridiculous.
I'm frustrated with QVC for taking so long to ship it and with USPS for not delivering it in a timely fashion.
I have two more recent orders on the way, and how quickly they are or aren't delivered will probably determine if I'm willing to place future orders with QVC.
Day 16, still waiting...
Much to my surprise and delight, my package was stuffed into my mailbox today. Drama over for me!

@RespectLife From your description of the internal packing material and the slice in the tote plus not being marked fragile/breakable it definitely sounds like a return that was improperly repackaged prior to being passed on to UPS. In fact it almost seems like it may have been a return inproperly restocked by QVC, ie., broken before it left QVC to you.
I would be more angry at QVC. Any vendor using UPS knows the packages (especially larger ones) get a good jostling on the way to their destination. If the original packaging is poor to begin with and not marked breakable/fragile, I can't put the blame on UPS.

@I am still oxox I can certainly relate. The UPS guy on Saturday did not ring my bell and instead left my package in the area with the apt. bells on the wall where anyone could pick up and steal. So darn lazy is all I can say.
