Call them.
And welcome to the club.
When we get a substitute my mailbox is over stuffed and my flag breaks. Need that flag on the box to show something in it is to be mailed. Tired of buying new red metal flags.

Outrageous. No way that could happen with just minor drop of the box....looks like the UPS truck ran over it!

I received a package from usps via ups and was told that a machine at usps compresses, squeezes everything and if there is space inside a shipping box, it will arrive compressed. (He does not ram boxes into our mailbox). The carrier who delivered that day is exceptional, does not make any errors in delivery and is always on time so I am inclined to believe him When a package arrives directly from ups the cardboard box is not compressed like that.

@I am still oxox I've complained about this so much (and gone to the main post office deliver place). I've even called the 800 post office number.
Here's what I finally did. A friend of mine put out a very large tupperware (hard plastic) box up at the top of my driveway near my garage.
There's a sign in the mailbox lid, one by the garage door and another one on top of the box saying to put the packages in the box at the top of the driveway.....
I also put up a BLINK camera so I can see when it's delivered (1 acre lots) long driveway.
There were times they'd put a box in the mailbox and I couldn't get it out. I had to have friends try to get it out and a few times I had to call the post office and MAKE them come and get it.
So, that's how I now handle this problem. My mailbox is one of those very large rural one's. It's not small.

My mailman stuffed a package in my mailbox that was about too large. It was stuck in there. I could hardly get it out.

I can see how that got broke if there was no packing in the box.
We receive packages that don't need any packing & no packing in packages that should have it.
When I ordered a Dutch Oven online it came in 4 boxes. LOL!!!

There were 2 styro corners on the short ends of the box. That's it. Both were cracked.
There was NO bubble wrap or any type of protective wrap around the pieces themselves. They were just all stacked together inside the tote. I wonder if it was a returned item? Can't believe they wouldn't wrap the pieces and just let them clank against each other.
The box was crushed and wrinkled on all sides. It was NOT labeled Fragile or glass!
The top of the box was open and there was a huge gash in the material of the tote bag. Now THAT couldn't happen by dropping it!
I was given immediate credit. It is still in my garage. I'm not sure how to even safely dispose of that mess!
I was thinking of leaving it on my front porch with a note to my UPS guy...
"Do you hate me or something....take this back to your hub and show your Supervisor"!! Just kidding, my UPS guy is really nice.
I am sure this just bounced a thousand times from NJ. I'm thinking he shouldn't have delivered it though...the minute you picked it up...you could just hear all the loose/shattered glass and the huge tear in the tote bag was clearly visible!

@Caligurll wrote:Today I'd be happy to have my most recently expected package jammed in my mail box. This particular item, ordered 13 days ago, has been in-state for 4 days, 3 of them at my post office and still not showing as out for delivery. I mean come on, it only took 2 days to get from the east coast to the west coast, to a city about 100 miles from me. The rest of the time was spent as in process, then to advance order, then back to in process. I'm very patient, but this is ridiculous.
I'm frustrated with QVC for taking so long to ship it and with USPS for not delivering it in a timely fashion.
I have two more recent orders on the way, and how quickly they are or aren't delivered will probably determine if I'm willing to place future orders with QVC.
Day 16, still waiting...
