@ SandySparkles my heart goes out to you ! You were blessed with a loving mother and not being able to hug her this mother's day or any day is sad but know that she is a beautiful angel in heaven watching over you and your family as a loving mom would surely do.
I can relate to you as my Mom also died from Covid in 2020. She was 88 and in a nursing home but she was alert. I could only see her via the nurses cell phone FaceTime and I am still greatful to her for her kindness because my mom was in a coma. She passed on April 28th so the memories of that time are still fresh in my mind each year on that day. I was the oldest of 10 and we were very close. My career as a nurse was following in her footsteps.
Blessings to you and your family and remember that she is in a better place, no more suffering.

I too share your sadness for Mothers Day. My Mom has been gone 32 years and I still miss her and think of her every day. Mothers Day was her favorite because it was all about her. And you better not gift her something that required her to work! There's no one like our Mom!💕
I think your Mom would be proud of you for the loving, caring and positive lady that you are and she knows you love and miss her💖
Thinking of you and everyone else who has an empty place in your hearts this Sunday. They know they are missed and loved💖🌹
@2sisters Welcome!🥰 I SO enjoyed reading this BEAUTIFUL and touchig post!💝 I feel SO blessed in this moment!🥰 Your dear mother sounds A LOT like mine in that Mother's Day was all about HER, and I LOVED❤ indulging her!😁
THANK you SO much for caring to share such sweet memories today!🤗

@SandySparkles I am so sorry for your dear Mother's passing several years ago. You wrote such a beautiful tribute to her in your post and you truly must've been a joy to raise as her daughter. You provided so much compassion and care for her and advocated for her when she was hospitalized and you ensured that she made a peaceful and diginified transition from earth to heaven. I believe in the afterlife and spirits and I am sure that your Mother is enormously proud of you for your accomplishments, your big heart and the joy you bring to so many- she is watching over you.
I think its wonderful that you bake and cook which is something she did very well too- maybe to celebrate her, you can bake or cook her favorite dish? I always recommend that to people I know who have lost a loved one. I lost my best friend who was much older than me, and when I miss him I make a cucumber salad or beef tacos in memory of him since he enjoyed those foods. All the best to you, Sandy Sparkles and please know that we are all here for you. You have a heart of gold and a wealth of kindness, insight and postivity.

@SandySparkles I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother and my best friend 8 years ago and still feel that brokenness. I always long to feel her hugs and hear the laughter. I pray that GOD will give her a kiss on the cheek & tell her it is from me and that I love her. You can be rest assured she knew you two were joined at the hip and had a deep love!

I believe that one of the most grievous losses in life is the death of a woman's mother. To each, the other was everything.
As Tolkien said, "Alas! there are some wounds that cannot be wholly cured..."
My heart goes out to you and I will pray for relief from your pain. Although you were not able to cradle her in your arms one last time, your mother knew that you loved her and that is everything.
God bless.
@DSD2 Welcome!🥰 I LOVE❤ how you put that!😁 It is definitely one of the toughest losses of my life! I SO appreciate your prayers!💝
THANK you SO much for caring to share your wisdom today!🤗

@Goodie2shoes Welcome!🥰 Our stories are similar! Her nurses (angels) set up an Ipad and microphone! I take comfort in knowing that she heard my family's and my voice (prayers), and her favorite hymn playing as she quietly went to heaven a short time after life support was turned off.🙏❤ That was a little tough to write just now😢, but somehow COMFORTING at the same time!💝I think it is wonderful that you chose the same career path as your dear mother!🤗 That speaks VOLUMES of how deeply you LOVED❤ her, and what an inspiration she was to you!!🥰
THANK you SO much for your prayers and caring to share such encouraging words today!🤗

I hope she will be ok @cheriere ![]()
I know I felt the same about my mother and my children say the same about me. Such a connection that is full of unconditional love.
I know not all are lucky enough to have that but so many are.
Mothers can be best friends and more and it is hard to imagine our lives without them.
They will always be with us wherever they are. I believe![]()
