I'm confused. I asked for a turtle sundae. "We don't do turtle sundaes, only turtle blizzards." Yep, there is no turtle sundae on the menu, but one could order a hot fudge sundae, and add caramel and pecans, right? Right? This was a DQ in San Antonio.

Huh? Weird. I think their menus are hard to read and follow. Apparently they do too, Lol.

@MamaWick did you end up getting what you wanted?

Yes, a "Turtle Sundae " is not listed in the menu, so the employee is correct.

Ordering a Hot Fudge Sundae with two extra toppings, caramell and pecans wouldve been correct and you charged for the two extra toppings. I am pretty sure their point of sale register is built for that way of ordering.

Not so hard to understand.

That would have been such a simple order at Culvers.

Hard to imagine them not having turtle sundaes. The ones at Culver's are the best.

@LizzieInSRQ. They wouldn't do that 😄

We stopped at Dairy Queen today on our way home from the city where we ate at Texas Roadhouse. I had a mini cotton candy blizzard with extra cotton candy and hubby had his usual strawberry banana shake.  The cotton candy is small Frozen "bits".  NE TEXAS.

We have a brand new Dairy Queen building near me but,  I have never been in there.

I looked on line to see what type of Sundae's they have as well as all the DQ's in my area.  (we have several)

They do sell Turtle Blizzards, but no Turtle Sundaes.  You can customize a caramel or chocolate one to add nuts, another flavored topping, whipped cream and a cherry.

DQ is a franchise.  Their menu offerings are what corporate determines.  Individual stores cannot go rogue and add things to their menu.

And yes, they do charge for each thing added separately.

We took our three youngest granddaughters for blizzards last week as a treat on our way back to their house...ordered a small and two mediums. $18.24.  That will be the last trip to DQ for awhile.
