Make your own hand sanitizer

If you find it increasingly difficult to find hand sanitizer available I found an easy to make recipe online...

Combine in a bowl:
⅔-cup rubbing alcohol (99% isopropyl alcohol)
⅓-cup aloe vera gel.
Stir. Decant into a clean soap or pump bottle.

You can add a drop or two of essential oil, too, if one wants a fragrance.

That's great--if you happen to have the alcohol already on hand. It's sold out around here.

And I don't think I've ever seen a 99% alcohol solution. I've seen only 91% and 70% in my stores.

@faeriemoon I think it might be and I know that Amazon has a lot right now. It's used a lot for sunburn.

Just hit me in the head with a brick and bury me if I ever get to the point where I have to make my own hand sanitizer....LOL What's next? Home made toilet paper?

Several years ago I saw it at Walmart, but I haven't looked lately so I don't know if they still carry it.

People are in a frenzy buying things up so that the average person who goes into the store for one bottle of hand sanitizer can't even get one.

@chrystaltree It seems easy enough with only two ingredients.
