Do you have all electric or was that electric and gas?

I just got my electric bill and it was $112.00 and my gas bill was under $75.00.

I wonder how much you'd save if you switched to LED Christmas lights.

No Christmas lights for me, but with temps in the 20's for the last three weeks and all electric, I am sure my bill is going to Triple at least this coming bill. I am guessing $600 this month Smiley Sad

Spinich2.....I hope your Energy Company sent you a THANK YOU with that bill.      LOL

In reality, how can you put a price on the SMILE you got when you saw all your beautiful lights!

My last electric bill was $66 and my gas bill was $.13--yes that's right, 13 CENTS.  Well, actually the bill was $13 and change with a $13 and change credit resulting in a $.13 bill.

Granted having recently moved to a condo, I pay HOAs, but with reduced home owners insurance, car insurance, property taxes and those crazy low utilities (and not having to pay for water, sewer and garbage), I think I am coming out ahead!

Re: MY ENERGY BILL FOR DECEMBER WAS A WOPPING...

We have always done a budget plan with both our gas and electric companies.  We pay a set amount every month.  The amount is based on the prior year's usage.  One time a year there's an "even up" month where you pay the difference, if you happen to go over or they will give you a credit if you overpaid.  We've never had to deal with surprises like this.
