Nah, a lot of us are early risers.  I can think and be staring ahead and not even really see what's ahead of me.  I'm in my head thinking (pictures included, if you know what I mean).

@Shorty2U I don't think it's odd that you look out the window. If I get up during the night and I need to go to the kitchen to grab something to drink I tend to look out. Mostly a habit because I tend to do it during the winter. Usually checking to see if the snow has stopped or started or whatever.

I don't usually watch the weather report so I tend to get my weather at 2am if I wake up. Smiley Happy

No looking out the window isn't odd.  Getting in a tizzy over what your neighbor's doing might be.  I stand at my front door with binoculars watching birds at my feeders.   Being on a 2 acre lot probably eliminates any scrutiny, and I'm friendly with my neighbors.

Well anyway I should have known not to bother to post this because things get blown out of proportion on the Internet. But i never thought looking out a window PM and AM Is a crime. lol..

Well probably, we are a bunch of opinionated people.  You just have to be prepared for strong opinions.    Another thought, if he was actually up to no good, do you really want to annoy him?   Those fear thy neighbor shows on ID only escalate after the t i t  for tat starts.   Ignore ignore ignore.

There's nothing I can do if someone is staring at me, but ignore them and that is what I do.

But if someone regularly sat and stared at my house in the dark from their yard, which there is nothing wrong with, I can turn on an outside light and there is nothing they can do about that.

They can  see my home better now, thankyouverymuch!

And now they know that I'm aware of them.

Many times I have small grandchildren spending the night.

And I've always been aware of my surroundings, even from the comfort and security of my home.

So if I want to look out my windows morning, noon and night, I will.

And you can turn on your outside light to acknowledge that!

I bet your neighbor never thought sitting in his own yard in the early morning hours was odd or suspicious.

If the guy smoked, wouldn't the OP be able to see the lit cigarette?

Personally, I think he just likes the feel of the peace and quiet of night. He's not particularly looking at her house--it just happens to be there.

@Shorty2U

I see absolutely nothing wrong with glancing out your windows 2 times a day or as many times as you want to. I do it all the time. I might hear a car, the mailman, watch the birds & squirrels, check the weather, admire my freshly mowed lawn. Hey, my UPS dude honks when he's pulling up so I know there's a package coming (yay!!!).

It does not make you a nosey neighbor or anything other than a normal human. What do these other people do when they walk by their windows - look down to the floor???

The Mrs. K references were uncalled for - ignore them.

not necessarily @insomniac2.

it really would depend on how long she was watching him.

@ChiliPepper

in the original post, the poster referred to herself as a "mrs kravitz" and others agreed with her.

@sunshine45

Yes, I recall that now. Thank you for the reminder.

However, I feel like some of the comments turned mean. She asked a legitimate question: "Is this odd".

When things turn mean, it makes me wonder if that is sometimes why people don't start threads.
