I'm wondering what you all think of this. (My husband thinks I worry over nothing a lot and I do at times but..)
We have newer neighbors across from us (a couple that looks maybe late 30s?) Every morning (mostly just weekdays) at 410 AM till almost 5, the man sits out on the slate walking stones (leading to the house), sometimes the dog is with many times not..
He is staring at our house the entire time (right across from him). And their whole house is dark when he does this. No lights.
He then (like clock work!) goes in the house 3 to 4 minutes before my husband leaves for work. (because my husband didn't see him when he left for work! which made me look like Im dreaming this lol. till I finally told my husband to look from our bedroom window!)
To that my husband says so what maybe he cant sleep (like me) and is getting fresh air) At 410 AM in the dark?
I have insomnia so a lot of times i am up when my husband gets up (at 4AM) and so I look out front from the bedroom (just a habit I have when I get out of bed and when I go to bed). So that's how I see this.
Keep in mind its pitch black and he doesn't have always have his dog out like i said (more not than does). PLus they built a big fence in the back for the dog, so why would he take the dog out front when he does have the dog with him insrtead of the back yard?
Also I noticed the woman leaves for work at 8. He doesn't leave till 10 or 11 so why is he out front after 4 AM staring at our house?.
Lastly we only know our new next door neighbors (very nice young couple). Because no one around here says hello or talks to each other! (Something I found weird since moving here 11 years ago because i lived in the city where people were friendly!)
So I know nothing about these neighbors across the street. BUT its starting to get creepy and me looking over nonchalantly out the bed room window I feel like Mrs Kravitz from Bewtiched! (Yes i actually peek out the curtains from bedroom window! lol. and there he sits staring over at our house)
Anwyay is this is odd or creepy or much ado about nothing? My husband says who cares as i said? But my husband goes out back in the pitch black and puts bird seed before work in the dark, putters around out front some days taking the trash bag (all from 4 to 5 AM) Well it worries me (about anyone approaching him not the neighbor) because hes so naive a lot of times! Im from the city originally and have more street smarts!
Anwyay this guys creeping me out.
So is this guy creepy or not creepy?

My first thought is maybe he is meditating. Other than that, it is kinda creepy.

This may be a dumb question but if it's dark outside, how can you tell he is staring at your home? @Shorty2U

could he be smoking? or reading something? Some people wake up really early and just like to be outside maybe?

meditating, praying, relaxing......maybe he is a morning person and just enjoys being outside and tuned into nature.

There is a street light in our development. (its a country development of homes)

If all you have to do at 4am is peak through the curtains to stare at the neighbor who is staring at you, you need to get a hobby. My guess is that he's smoking or drinking his coffee, but it really would not concern me in the least. Consider him to be your personal, private security guard. You'll have no prowler in the area as long as he's sitting outside.

30 minutes outside when it's dark is weird...but, never know, could be waiting for his dog to finish up business in the backyard. LOL on the bewitched comment.. Could he see you peeking out the window? Be safe.. probably nothing to worry about.
