@Winkk  I agree!  Most kids don't want to inherit their parent's stuff.  Of course there are exceptions to that such as a rare, valuable baseball card or some other item that's worth a gazillion dollars!

I used to, but no more.

I have retained and display a few Lladro figurines. I am OK to have 1 or 2 of something that I enjoy now. Don't want the clutter and no longer have the room of the desire to indulge frivolously.

In this time of covid, lockdown and all, when we have been at home more than ever, if your collection "sparks joy"- enjoy!

@ID2 stated a collection is too much clutter for her small home.   

All you need is a small corner and you can keep a lovely collection. 

I purchased a 6 foot corner shelf from Hobby Lobby, it has 5 shelfs and it holds and displays my Snoopy collection beautifully in my guest bedroom.  Everything is contained in one area so there is no "clutter".  I have a beautiful collection that puts a smile on my face everytime I look at it and on the faces of my guests when they stay in my guest bedroom.
