I stopped using easy pays a year ago.  It is a trap. I pay for everything in full. Pay the credit card off in full each month too.

@wagirl

Sorry, but I took your comments at face value.   If owing any money creeps people out so much, then just don't use EP.    Simple, right?

@so so

Whenever I watch the Q = I'm so sick of them telling the viewers about their Q card - and how u can pay off ur Dooney purse in 8 easy payments. What????? America has so much credit card debt -- it's not the way to buy anything. If u can't afford it, u don't need it. I'm 77 yrs old and credit cards weren't even around when I was young. I got my first Visa card when I moved to Calif.in the mid-1960s --- and I pay cash at most stores, except when I charge my purchases at Costco and when ordering on-line. I never paid 1 cent in interest -- and I have no loans. Debt-free.

I have lots of clothes but after seeing the Q showing jean jackets -- I have several - I got in the mood for one today. I went on the Q site - and found a Liz Claiborne jean jacket that was regularly $58 - now reduced to $38.62. I have all solids and this is a print.

@kivah

I understand what you mean, believe me, but unfortunately our economy is driven by consumerism.   Whenever the economy is discussed on news shows, the first thing they mention is "consumer spending is up (or down)".

Every month of the year has a holiday or event that people might want to make purchases for .....  Clearance sales,  Valentines Day,  St Patricks Day,  Easter,  Mothers Day,  Fathers Day,  Memorial Day,  4th of July,  Labor Day,  Columbus Day,  Halloween,  Thanksgiving,  Christmas,  New Year's Eve ... etc etc etc.

PLUS ----  we all have family events ... birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, wedding & baby showers,  various other religious holidays.......  you get the idea.

And that's leaving out a huge number of other holidays ....  shown in the link below.

There's no end to the reasons to celebrate with food or whatever.   Consumer spending.   IMO, it's just mind boggling!
