@MaggieMack wrote:I keep reading on this forum about the poor refugees, the poor women and children escaping the horrors. Why is it that every picture of people I've seen leaving Syria are of young men? I would be much more likely to let WOMEN and CHILDREN into the country, but even some women are terrorists these days. I would like to see a breakdown of the 10,000 scheduled for resettlement by sex and age.
That's what some are worried about; many young men are scheduled to arrive who should be off fighting for their Country....we seem to think women and children are not terrorists which is an incorrect assumption.

ISIS has issued a chilling new video warning that countries taking part in air strikes against Syria would suffer the same fate as Paris and specifically threatened to attack Washington D.C. next.
The threat against the US capital emerged as France paused for a minute's silence to remember victims of Friday's massacre.
ISIS had already claimed responsibility for the coordinated terror attacks in Paris which killed at least 132 people.
'I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,' he said.
This is according to DailyMail.

I'm thinking ISIS did the Paris attacks at a bad time, just before the G20 meeting when the world's leaders can plan a coordinated response.

The Times Square car bomber looked like a nice neighbor with a job and family. Now, one could assume he was just trying to earn a living. But this case shows otherwise. We still have to be the eyes and ears for homeland security. Right before the bombing attempt, I believe his wife left the country. We do need to observe what is going on around us, including what we may read on social media, etc.

I question why churches in the USA are the facilitators moving unvented Syrians to the USA in such large numbers at this time. That has always been the function of churches ....to provide safe haven for those in need as Jesus would do. I feel churches mean well but not always a good practice for the greater good.
These so called facilitators are getting $750.00 per person. This was not done as good will.
Is that right? I never knew payment was involved
Every person is given $1800.00 out of that they have to pay the facitator who brought them in $750.00

A friend of mine used this phrase the other day: Jihad by refugee status. It's a modern day version of Trojan horse. May G-d help us.

After 911, my thought was how and why were these terrorists allowed to take commercial pilot lessons in the USA? We can monitor that.
What we can't monitor is the behavior of aliens allowed into our country. So why are we even considering this?
Remember the Asians (Japanese) in "camps" in California that were POWs? That was a poor way to "contain" the enemy.

Part of the problem with monitoring people is the lack of manpower assigned to the task. Budget cuts by the current Congress has caused this to happen. If you want more people to monitor other people, you should be contacting your representatives to reinstate those budget cuts so that more qualified people can be hired.

These were people already in our country. Woodrow Wilson in WW1 didn't import Germans and FDR didn't import Nazi or Japanese.
I am not in favor of putting people in a camp but obviously the public was in favor of it or it would have been eliminated after Woodrow Wilson did it.
In case you are wondering, We do have FEMA camps set up for emergencies in different quadrents of the USA now.

My son's went to a vocational college. This college had a airplane maintenance department. At graduation time almost all the people graduating were from Saudi Arabia. This was prior to 9/11 but I remember thinking this was very odd.
