Re: I hate this Heat!!!!!

[ Edited ]

I am so sick of the heat. It's 7:30 p.m. and computer is registering that it's still 90 degrees. I feel as if Southern California has been hot for the last ten years. (exaggeration of course) but you get my point.

I hate summer. Fall is my favorite season.

My AC was long past time to be replaced. It was getting to the point where every year I had a problem that needed to be repaired. One of my GF's AC went out, and because this time of year is so busy they had to wait 2 weeks before it could be repaired.

I was like nope..nope.nope. I bit the bullet a few weeks back and replaced the entire system including the furnace.  I just cannot even imagine not having AC with all of this heat.

Storms came through upper SC several hours ago and dropped our temperature about 20 degrees.  Went from 90's to 73.  It is so hot and humid here.  We have two dehumidifiers going as well as our central air.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I am in the PNW and we have a heat advisory for the next few days.  Predicted to be into the 90's but at least we don't have the humidity but many of us don't have AC either.

@Katcat1

  1. Mid to upper 90's here in Denver.  Denver had worst pollution in the WORLD on the weekend. So not enjoying the heat either, no fun being outside.

@Goodie2shoes

I grew up in Illinois, right across the river from St. Louis.  We used to go down to the levee after a hard rain and watch the river rise to the banks.  Cheap entertainment.

Summers were brutally hot, but we were kids and it never seemed to bother us.  We played outside all day and I never remember wanting to go inside.

Of course, no AC back then, just open windows!

Same here. Those were some brutal days all right, but since we were used to changing weather patterns we on the east coast took it all in stride.  Sure there was some discomfort but we rolled with whatever nature brought.  Now days, I may not be as comfortable as I would  like, but there are many much worse off than I.

@icezeus    Where in SoCal are you.  Temps haven't been bad at all in a Ventura County.  I haven't turned the AC on except for a few days and about 3?in the afternoon

@cotton4me    I lived in DC in the mid 60s.   So hot and humid.   Miserable.   I grew up in NE PA.  It was hot and muggy in the summer and bitter cold in the winter.   I can't imagine living in those climates anymore but with climate change, weather is getting worse everywhere

We are back to the heat and humidity after a week or so of cooler temps and low humidity here in NEPA. It was great sleeping with no humidity. A couple nights it was dare I say it..............chilly, it was great.

Now, it is back to Satan's oven and it is here until Saturday night.

It has been a miserable summer weather wise. If this heat and walking through soup stuff is the future, Arctic here I come.  I can pile layers on.  It is easier to keep warm than to stay cool unless you never leave air conditioning.
