It was only 90° today in Albuquerque.  We had a brutally hot June, our hottest month.  An unusually wet monsoon arrived and July was the most humid period I can remember here.  I had frizzy hair for the first time in 30 years.  I'd rather have boiling hot and our usual dry

Here on the East coast in Va it was about 80 some percent humidity today.

Just think, most of us (I'm going to be 75 soon) grew up with no air conditioning.

@Annabellethecat66    It wasn't nearly as hot back when we were kids.

Same here in Wisconsin @Katcat1 . I suppose the Cubs game against Milwaukee will be postponed.

at 6:42 pm CST here in St. Louis It's about 83 degrees, it got up to around 97 today, 98 by Thursday. We had rain earlier, very humid. heat warnings for the rest of the week. I have not been out at all today. I like summer if the temps stay in the 80's (had a birthday last week ) so I don't want to get rid of August Woman Happy I don't like snow so I could do without wiinter, I like  spring but the change in season brings rain and possible tornados, I enjoy the fall weather.

Hot here in Michigan.  I actually LOVE summer - the birds, the breezes, the extra daylight, the feeling of freedom from heavy itchy sweaters, coats, purses, boots, etc.  Get up early, walk my dog, talk to the neighbors, enjoy nature......

Now, I will say........I DO understand people not liking to be hot.  In MI we do get hot weather but not prolonged.  Up here, it's "I love Fall" or "I can't wait for pumpkin spice".  Not me though....

Winter?  Yes, pretty snowflakes, roaring fire, burning leaves, crisp air.  BUT......

cold, cloudy for months on end, dark early, dry skin, fear of falling on the ice, driving is treacherous, feeling down.

Both with hot and cold, you can either spend time inside with air or inside with heat.

Personally, I don't hate winter, but boy would I be happy if it were about 4 months shorter!  And yes, I think summer is awesome!

We are getting a reprieve from the heat and high humidity in Minneapolis. It is currently 84° with 40% humidity--a beautiful evening!

Hate heat, hate sun, and live in what we call the Valley of the Sun. But we are having cooler weather right now, relatively speaking of course. Only 93 at the moment, but dewpoint is 66 so it's pretty sticky out. I've loved snow every since I first saw and felt it at about 8 months old. I've never lived in a place with excessive snow and maybe I would tire of it, but living indoors in a virtual hermetically sealed house for what seems like endless months, always being attuned to any weird sound  coming from the a/c, or even being hot in a car with the a/c blowing as cold as you can get it, is a challenge for some of us.

Gratitude check: At least I have a house and a/c! And it's not expected to get much above 101 for the next 10 days and into the 80's at night. It could be worse!

Sure beats last year when we had over 150 days of over 100 and many days and weeks over 110. That was the summer that would not die. This summer hasn't been all that bad except for the higher humidity.

@Katcat1

Yes, this heat stinks! Yours is much worse than ours though.  Must be awful for you when you need to go out.  Ours has been high 80s-90s lately with super high humidity.  The stinkin' mosquitoes & smaller annoying buys are out in abundance.

Good luck getting cooler weather.

Remember what was attributed to Mark Twain:

"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in

San Francisco."

Though not right in the City, this applies to us.

We get excited when the weather is in the mid-70s,

and then people are complaining when it gets

to the 80s--mostly in October.
