@icezeus    Where in SoCal are you.  Temps haven't been bad at all in a Ventura County.  I haven't turned the AC on except for a few days and about 3?in the afternoon

@Teddixat

OMG you are lucky. I am in Riverside County.  My AC has been cycling on and off for the last few months.

Love, Love, LOVE the Summers heat! I can't get enough of it. We're outdoor people. We go boating every single day when its nice and hot out! We walk religiously, Don't complain about the heat girls, in a few months you'll all be complaining about the cold.

No complaining about the cold in Arizona ever.

You can always get warmer in the winter quite easily.  Much more difficult to get cooler in the summer.

I am in WV, and am loving our 80 degree temperatures, as we have so few actual HOT, humid days of summer.

Dog days started on July 3rd, and ends today; these are usually our hottest and dryest days of the summer.   Rain showers have been very scattered; truly hit and miss across our area.

My husband and I were in town yesterday, and got caught in a true downpour; we sat in a parking lot for 15 minutes and waited until the rain let up enough to be able to see to drive.   The closer we got to home, the drier it was, and we never did get any rain on this north side of town.

The WV State Fair starts tomorrow, and rain chances are over 50% for all 9 days of the fair!   Every year we took our girls there for a full day of rides and fun, it rained.

@Teddixat - I'm in Simi Valley and it is hot this summer.  We've had several heatwaves already and it got to 99 today (currently 97 @ 2:40 pm.)  So far the nights have been okay but we are starting another heatwave thru Monday and it takes till about 9-10 pm to cool down.  I know the coastal cities are a lot cooler.  We've been in SV since 1972 and didn't even put in AC till 1977.   The weather was a lot cooler then but summers have gotten much hotter and AC is a necessity IMO.  Where are you?

We are in Texas and the "feels like" temp was 103 today. It's miserable, but I know if you are up north you are not equipped for it in some cases, like no a/c strong enough to stand up to the high heat index. Triple digit heat isn't any fun no matter where you live!

Stay hydrated and remind everyone you see not to leave chikdren or pets in the car even for a minute....and don't walk dogs on the hot sidewalks. If it's too hot for you to walk barefoot on it, it can also burn little paw pads! Stay cool!

I get so depressed when September rolls around.  I hate fall and winter.  I don't like the early dark days, the bare trees, the drab sky and cold.

Spring is OK if we're not having tornadoes or gigantic hail.  But I love summer!  Getting in the water, long bright days, the flowers and the smell of cut grass. . . I love it all.   But for several reasons didn't get to get out much this year.

My name won't be on that list!

I love summer.

I love hot weather.

Granted, I'm not a roofer or work on a road crew.  But there is always something to cool you off.

I can sit in my beach chair at the edge of the water or walk along the beach up to my ankles and I'm as cool as cool can be.

Once the sun goes around front, our back deck (covered) is comfortable even on hot days.  I think it reached 90* degrees today.  Although I stayed in and cleaned my ask off---in the air conditioning.

Last night, I turned the air off at about midnight and all we needed was the ceiling fan.  House was 76 in the morning.  It was very comfortable.

The picture you posted looked horrible.  It didn't even look like a nice snowstorm.  Not pretty!

As I've gotten older my body just does not do good with too much heat/humidity.  It really slows me down. Gosh, in the spring when it's in the 40's and 50's I just feel so great when working outdoors in my gardens, I'm full of so much energy and can get so much done!

Just watched our weather for tomorrow...98 with a "feels like" temp of 110.  I'm in Southern Maryland.

Just stepped outside and it didn't seem awful, but it's only 96.  My glasses fogged up immediately and I think I could feel my hair frizzing up Cat LOL

My husband works outside most days, but rarely complains.  He'd done it all his life, but I still worry about him.

@Witchy Woman , my DH works outside as well.  We often go round and round about the ac.  I work in an office where it is so cold, I often need a sweater so anytime it is cool enough, I prefer open windows and fresh air.  He OTOH likes air since he doesn't have it all day.

The humidity is what is nuts.  This morning at 6:30 I opened the door to put the dog out and got smacked in the face with that opressive humidity.  At 7:45 when I was on my way to work it was alreayd 76.
