Re: I guess Gary is done with the Squirrel thing….

Carolyn took the squirrel home with her.  On her new FB page she posted that she will still post pics of her "travels with Nutsie".

Whenever she was on vacation from the Q she would post pictures of the squirrel at her various stops.

Guess Nutsie will be RVing now 😄

I'm glad she got custody of Nutsie!  She's a good pet parent whether the animal is real or stuffed.  :-)

Gary used to forget Acorn at home a lot.....

@Imaoldhippie  It was not Carolyn , just the  stuffed squirrel thing that took up time NOT discussing the products being sold....sizing....etc.  cute MAYBE,  but holding old stuffed toys  and making them talk ....for people not 5 years old ....was just too much. It was More like programming for Sesame Street.

@SeaMaiden

I dont understand it....the squirrel thing lasted a couple of minutes while other hosts....droned on and on about their families and calling their cohost "honey", others acted childishly doing the chicken dance, one spends time on her appearance and pets her wig, a couple of others are just out of control.....another interrupts vendors....Qurates recent Financial Report reflects an 11% decrease for the 4th Quarter and the full year!!!!  Yet these "personal talk shows" and shows with 2 and now 3 hosts continue, very little product information is provided anymore, the 2 hosts that gave good details about products are gone.......What QVC is doing is NOT working......and we all know the definition of insanity....doing the same thing but expecting different results...🤔 Wake up and smell the coffee QVC....☕

Animals are reliable, full of love, true in their affections, grateful. Difficult standards for people to live up to.”

No Leah on Fri Yay. They must be scrambling to rearrange schedules. MBR had to wake up very early this AM in order to rush and fill in.

Much of everything for sale is older stock or long standing SKUs they have quantities of...you can tell because these items are QVC and the items do not include 4X and 5X.

@Mindy D

I believe I heard MBR say that Leah is on vacation.

@Sapphiregal @She's on the schedule for next week.

Re: I guess Gary is done with the Squirrel thing….

I've always been confused about rating hosts by sales. In the early days, you could only place your order while the item was being aired, so it would be easy to gauge how successful a host was. That changed decades agos. So now we buy online, or we watch a presentation and think about an item before buying. Rarely do I order during an actual presentation.

Sesame Street is so much more sophisticated, interesting and educational than anything on QVC.

@Kallena I am sure there are a lot more things on TV worth a smile that provide better entertainment value and other worthwhile qualities.

I don't know why anyone would watch this stuff.  I guess more adults like playing with dolls than I realize.

Isn't that what people thought about Lisa Robertson too?

I thought Lisa left of her own accord.  She wanted to do something for herself, see what was out there.  I thought that was smart of her.  I don't buy from her because of a bad experience, and I prefer dealing with more established businesess, but I would think SHE is better off working for herself than at QVC.  Her departure was QVC's loss, her leaving in the middle of Christmas sales.  I could be wrong, but being on QVC-TV is nothing special, just a job.  Clearly anyone who likes to talk non-sense can do it.  I think the products and customer service are more important than the on-air talent.
