Re: How you ever bought a "back-up" of something?

I will pick up an extra of my makeup basics like powder, foundation, eye primer, esp. my fav eye shadows-because the shelf stays empty!

Yes, fitover sunglasses.  I'm bad about forgetting to put them on, probably because I already have a pair of glasses on my face.  LOL  I bought 3 of the recent TSV to keep one in the car, one at work , & hopefully I'm wearing one when I'm outside.

Several times, different things.  Shoes, purses, pants, etc.  Find something that works and you want to have backups.

Petite pants when I find some that I love.
Toiletries
Laundry soap
Sometimes "everyday" shoes that are very comfortable
Now that I love my SCA skincare line I am using I never want to be out so I ordered again so I will not run out.
Drugstore items that have good sales and if they are products I use/like to keep on hand (plus I usually get stuff for my son so he doesn't run out).

all the time! especially with clothes. I'm very picky, so if I find something I really like, I'll buy more than one. I've come to realize that it's a waste of money because I always take good care of my clothes in the first place, therefore a back up is unnecessary! i should stop doing it, but I never learn 😕

Re: How you ever bought a "back-up" of something?

These shoes:

I didn't buy them, but was gifted with Dr. Scholl's wooden sandals.  It is very nearly my exclusive shoe all Summer (I have permanent tan lines across the top of my feet), and I also keep one pair handy year-round as my "indoor" shoe.

At one point many years ago, they became hard to find in the stores, and I whined and lamented like a spoiled brat.  (Moi?! Woman Embarassed) Well, a loved one found a vendor with a sizable cache of them, and bought the entire inventory for me!  I have just about every color and material, some colors in duplicate. They wear like iron, so I should be set for life.

Mrs G, I remember those shoes!  I remember having some of them many years ago.

Now, I have Birkenstocks (don't ask how many pairs!) but the Dr Scholls products were always very good quality and well made.

@chickenbutt  I just got a shock at the Dr. Scholl's website.  The shoe is still available -- for $88 a pair.  Lord have mercy, I believe they were under $20 "back in the day"!

@IamMrsG

I bought these in the 70's and found them on-line again 3 years ago! I have a black pair!

My favorite, and original pair' was bone and they were Flat. Two styles were offered at my local drugstore then! Flat or the heel like your picture!

What a fun throwback!!!
