Re: How is it in your neck of the woods?

It will be near 90 today here in Northern Wisconsin with severe thunderstorms. Last night our crab apple tree was struck by lightening, and we lost a huge branch. Fortunately, a friend of my husbands is an arborist. He's coming out today to evaluate the tree.

Here in Illinois (about 30 miles west of Chicago) it is hot.  94 degrees today, 96 tomorrow.  We need rain really bad.  The last significant rainfall was 16 days ago.  Of course, I went overboard and bought lots of hanging baskets and put them all over the place.  Watering has become the norm around here.  :-)

@Julie928 - we need rain here too in Indiana.  The edges of my grass are brown and crunchy!  I didn't mow this week because I don't want grass to die.  Rain possible next Thursday.

@Mz iMac - that little video is going to look really refreshing to some of us out here today - I may just sit and watch it all day to keep me cool - thanks!

Today will be the second day in the 90s. Hopefully no AC again today.  I'll run it tomorrow for sure.  I work at home and the office doesn't have enough air circulation for me to be comfortable.

I've already changed the nectar in 7 hummingbird feeders, gassed up the car and made two slabs of ribs.

The dog's already been out for his walk.

Here in upper MI its finally, finally Summer-like! We've had a horrible Spring so we all welcome the HOT weather. Its hot and humid today, my favorite weather! I'll be donning my bathing suit and off in our boat we go!  But will keep an eye to the sky for the big thunderstorms heading our way.

Very hot in NY/NJ area. Temperature inside show 79. Just informed husband when it hits 80, AC is going to be turned on. He hates the air conditioner and I hate the heat. He has no choice though! Ha!

Re: How is it in your neck of the woods?

We are having the typical  GLOOM IN JUNE here in Seattle... Summer for us rarely kicks off until after the 4th of July.  It is going to be lower 60's and overcast with bit of sun  pretty much through this week into next week.  I do not mind as I do not like warm weather.
