On line and in stores sales of questionable hateful items

I will not mention the item but there seems to be an abundance of a shirt with a hateful message.  Does anyone have an experience with the process of taking down the item?  And what was the result.  No need to mention anything other than the experience.  Cannot believe retailers are not responsible for what they sell.

They wouldn't need to be responsible if people refused to spend their money on such.

I believe that retailers are responsible for what they choose to sell.  I also believe that shoppers have the choice to not patronize retaiIers they find do not meet their standards.

All you as an individual can do is complain about it to their corporate offices.  Generally, the only thing that gets stores to stop selling items offensive to some is major media bad publicity. Unless you can get national news media attention, they won't pay any (attention).

Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should.

Freedom of speech is not absolute, and stores are not required to allow it on their merchandise.

That's the crux of it imo.  Many people luxuriate in hate speech.
