Re: How do you feel when you first wake up?

Ready to get moving and get the day going.  Whomever makes it downstairs first, DH or me, will take care of bringing the dog out and feeding him.  Then it's the morning ritual stuff for me; warm lemon water, nasal irrigation, certain supplements, a mug of hibiscus tea while we check our devices and assess the day ahead. After my tea I move onto coffee.  Depending on what my day is like, sometimes I'll get ready right away and other times I'll linger in my jammies awhile.

Re: How do you feel when you first wake up?

I am a night owl. I dislike going to bed at night and getting up in the morning. My fatigue problem often results in my being as tired in the morning as I was when I went to bed the night before.

Re: How do you feel when you first wake up?

Unless there is something rather serious going on in our lives (with family or friends), I wake up unbelievably happy.

As in gritting my teeth with excitement.  Sounds crazy I know.

Even if there isn't anything particularly great going on, I'm just so dang happy when I wake up.  It's been like that for as long as I can remember.  I think it's just because I love my live so much?  I dunno!

Re: How do you feel when you first wake up?

I am not a morning person. I have always been a night owl. That said, I do try to be thankful, as I make my way to the coffee maker. My nights are sometimes not very good. My sweet little chi chi has cancer and getting worse. He can't sleep, so neither do I. I know there are others who deal with so much worse, and I try to remember that.

I really like starting out my morning slowly, always have. Like to linger over my first cup of 8'oclock coffee.Heart

I really admire those of you who do so much first thing. Congrats on that weight loss and taking a walk in the morning sounds great, in theory. Woman Very Happy

Also, feeding the critters first thing actually sounds fun. I do enjoy animals. Left a banana for my resident raccoon last night.  Will check my camera to see if I caught him eating it.

It's still morning here for another few minutes. Good morning everyone. Woman Happy

I was never a morning person whatsoever but the older I get, I'm fine in the summertime but feel like I need to sleep 5 more hours in the winter.

Is this a work day or a day off?

Re: How do you feel when you first wake up?

Now that I am retired, I feel really good when I wake up.  I go to sleep at 12,:15, gotta check all the tsv's on the shopping channels.  I wake up naturally between 6:30 and 7am.  I wake up thinking about coffee but I spend the first half hour taking my morning pills with a bottle of water, while I watch the local news.  Then I make my coffee, jump in the shower and I begin my day.  I feel good in the mornings.  I am just 62 which might be too young sleep issues that many seniors experience.

Re: How do you feel when you first wake up?

I'm early to bed, early to rise. Not always liking that, but that's what it is. My cats rarely let me sleep past 4:30 a.m. and lights out at 8 p.m. Rare that I sleep thru the night, though. When I get up,I feed the cats, take first round of meds, then breakfast while watching the news.
