Energizer had many years ago a special offer to buy a battery case to hold all sized batteries. I bought one for us and one for my MIL who kept all her batteries rolling around in a kitchen drawer. When she passed, one of my sons got her battery case.
I also have have lightbulbs in a drawer in our bedroom office! I try to keep lightbulbs for the various rooms either in a drawer in that room or the linen closet!

Okay, let me be serious for a sec..
You ladies are on the ball as far as stocking up for a rainy day. Don't forget to make your emergency kits. Water, non perishable dry goods, can opener, canned goods, batteries, lanterns and or flashlights, first aid kit, list of current medications, old pot/pan, etc.
Now, back to our zany thread.. you guys put me to shame because I'm down to six rolls of tp and no paper towels.

We have a whole house generator and if we lose power, we are okay, but I will knock on my neighbor's door and ask if they want to connect their fridge to our generator with an extension cord.

Hmm, incandescent light bulbs. I forgot about that. I have an old china cabinet full in the basement, 40W, 60W, 75 W, 100 W and various specialty bulbs.

Step in the 'way back' machine. Am I the only one who had shelves of bottled water for Y2K?

@JustJazzmom....I have too many batteries to have one of those battery cases. I am a tad OCD when it comes to organizing. I have a large storage closet in my apt. with many shelves. I have separate, labeled storage containers for my batteries, light bulbs, other electrical items, and hardware items. Not to mention my very organized tool box. ![]()

We are buying LEDs now. So as the incandescents blow out , an LED takes its place! Our light over our bathroom medicine cabinet has 6 bulbs, 2 are now LED and 4 are incandescent. You can mix them together w/o a problem.

I do have my garden tools with my last name on them, in case they develop wings at the gardens where I volunteer. Once I did go home with another person's Home Depot orange bucket!

I still like incandescent bulbs in lamps. I did replace all but one of the fluorescent shop lights and lighting in the basement with LEDs.
