Re: Help Me Choose Some Teas to Sample

You’re correct, @just bee - I don’t like the flavor of Earl Grey/bergamot. Just...no.

I’ve checked out several websites. I ordered some samples from The Tea Spot and they came in 2 days! I’m sure I’ll be checking out all the websites eventually.

But I’m definitely not a ‘give up coffee for tea’ person. There are times I enjoy tea, but I’m a coffee drinker.

Re: Help Me Choose Some Teas to Sample

British tea I’ve had aplenty, for many years.  I was hoping to go a little different, for fun.  That’s why the samples are so cool - 5 cups from a sample size will tell you yes or no.

@Moonchilde

I always drank coffee.  My automatic coffee maker was my alarm clock.  The smell of coffee brewing would wake me up and get me going in the morning.  Then one day I noticed my coffee didn't smell like coffee anymore.

I switched brands, changed the water, changed machines.  Changed brands again.  And again.  And again.  I just couldn't find a great cup of coffee!

So I gave it up and started drinking tea instead.

Re: Help Me Choose Some Teas to Sample

One of the samples I tried (just this morning) is a turmeric tea. I thought this might be a less-disruptive-to-the-digestive-system way to see if I felt it actually helps with inflammation. They mixed it with spices so although it has a turmeric taste and smell it’s not too strong. Not all that faboo-tasting, though.

I did learn that there is a David’s Tea store an hour’s drive from me, so I can check their offerings out in person at some point.
