I may be drummed off the Q board after thus - read on.  After a very stressful week last night went to dinner with some girlfriends met up with DH in our local "saloon" afterwards.  Yes it is a saloon we live down road from Tombstone way out west.

Anyway turns out it is kareoke night.  Had my Chardonnay then another one then decided kareoke here I come.  Never ever done this before - got an off key voice - danced sang to "I've got friends in low places" (appropriate eh?) having a taste for it - and the Chardonnay - followed up with selection of Abba then got DH up for duet - left there at midnight still singing!

Walking the dogs this a.m. People I met all calling out - great night, you did good etc. etc.

Ladies be warned see what stress can do to you

Good for you!  Smiley Very Happy

The worst I did at the height of my stress was to beat up my refrigerator in the garage (don't ask).  So, well done!  Much more constructive and less bruises.  Smiley Wink

That is a cute story and I am glad you let loose and enjoyed yourself...why not.I once sang in big lots because the song was a favourite and a lady came around the corner and told me that I should never do that.I do have the worst voice in the world but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be heard.

No, i've never but I think that sounds like a blast!  Kareoke is supposed to be fun and not just for good singers.  Good for you I say!

My angle - maybe the other customers had more alcohol in them than you did!

Hi @dulwich

I love this story!  I can't keep on tune either, I've been told that all my life.

What kind of Welsh women are we?!

I love to sing but it would take more than Chardonnay to get me up for karaoke, but I do love the idea of going to an authentic saloon Woman Very Happy

@Noel7. Hi Noel I do not think I will attempt it again.  I had never actually seen kareoke before.  Yes our saloon is very western - lots of old miners, some genuine cowboys plus soldiers from the Fort and bikers.  Everyone very friendly and I now seem to know - judging by my walk this a.m, - a lot more people!   As you say it is our Welsh heritage.

that sounds awesome! I wish more people had the courage to just have fun! It does wonders for the soul and is a great anti-aging treatment!😉
