One of my favorites is "Knights in White Satin," 1967, by the Moody Blues, or from 1973, the album by Pink Floyd, "Dark Side of the Moon."
@Susan Louise I totally understand what you're saying, but hopefully, we have the ability and can choose to make an effort to age with grace and dignity . . .

I love so much old rock! It doesn't really take me anywhere else, but I do enjoy it. I'm not really a very sentimental person.
I have listened to the same local 'oldies' radio station for over 30 years. They've changed the name of it a couple of times, but I'm glad they keep playing the same type of music.
Years ago I won a logo t-shirt and $104 during one of their call-in games. That was great for me, because I tend to be very unlucky.

I'm a Motown/70s girl all the way!
as Trisha Yearwood sings "The Song Remembers When"
Break up songs make me think of my HS BF " the one that got away"
and of course I have songs that remind me of DH, xbf, my sons, my HS best girl friends, slumber parties.
DH just loves Dan Fogleberg. Every time he hears him he talks about how he died too young and how lonely and sad his life must have been.
