Re: Garlic ~ thumbs up or down?

Just wanted to add that that IMHO, the savory scent and taste of garlic (especially roasted), onions (especially caramelized), scallions, leeks, and shallots is one of life's treasures.

I like garclic, but not on everything.  Thumbs up because I do like it.

Re: Garlic ~ thumbs up or down?

Unfortunately, I cannot eat garlic, onions and the other things in the Allium family because even the smell of them cooking can give me a migraine. I'm missing out on the health benefits for sure. Plain, whole foods with light seasonings or, oddly enough, jalapenos, work.

Definitely up.  I use it in practically everything I cook.  Smash, peel, and use.  I eat it raw at times mixed with a few other ingredients,  especially on fresh mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil.  Also on marinated eggplant, etc.

Not a fan of onions either... Though the mild red ones are tolerable.

I love it.  I was raised on it (Italian, lol).

But I can't eat it anymore.  It doesn't love me. Smiley Sad

We are big garlic lovers! Not so much that it can be smelled through the pores of our skin though. LOL!

Big thumbs up.    I roast a lot and mash to put in the freezer.   I also have a cuber and slicer.   I deep fry that and drain well.  Use those for toppings.
