No way would I go public with the find. I'd tell my daughters and perhaps my best friend but no one else. I wouldn't even tell my siblings. And definitely not my inlaws. I'd would do the same thing with lottery winnings.

What I'd worry about are looters and thieves who'd come looking for not only the coins, but what they bought.

I think I'd be very quiet about it. Yes, I'd want to share with certain people and charities, but that usually can be done anonymously.

I would only tell the very closest family members and no one else. The first thing I would do if I won the lottery is change my number. That doesn't mean I wouldn't be very charitable, they just would not know who it was coming from.

Nope! Not even family members. And if I found it, I might not even tell my DH, he has a big mouth. When I decided to help a charity or family member, I would find some legal way to ensure they did not divulge any information before they got the money.
