Thank for sharing your experiences with d Mannose. Be aware that this can elevate blood sugar so diabetics should be cautious.
Someone here help my memory, but isn't there are a relationship to declining estrogen and UTI among aging females?

Any guidance on keeping a healthy uninary tract with advancing age or any age.
D-mannose capsules or powder 1500mg/day - or as close to that total as possible.
I have a history of urological and nephrological issues and chronic UTI"s is one of them. Also, stay as hydrated as possible.
I swear by D Mannose as well. If I feel a little more ahem urgent than usual, I get out the D Mannose and take it for a few days and it clears right up.
(Of course, if I didn't catch it right away or it didn't go away I would go get an antibiotic prescription at the doc.) Waiting is a bad idea.
@Porcelain : good to hear it's worked for you and I agree re: the doc and RX.
I've taken D-Mannose daily for years to help prevent UTI's and am thankful it's a safe supplement.

My stepmother had them chronically and told me she finally got some help from an old country doctor. 1 large tablespoon of baking soda to a warm 8 oz. glass of water. I used this any time I had a problem...right away and it has never failed me. Only took her many doctors, years and 20,000 dollars to get that free advice.![]()

Good news! President Clinton has been released from hospital.

The last few times I've seen photos or videos of him, I thought he looked fragile. Some newsreader mentioned he's had heart surgery a few years ago and that might have contributed to that fragile look. And he's no spring chicken either; he's in his...70's?...now.

Since leaving the White House in 2001, Clinton has had a series of heart problems. He underwent a quadruple heart bypass operation to relieve severely clogged arteries in 2004, according to NBC news. He later had another heart procedure to insert two stents into a coronary artery in 2010.
