I don't see how this wouldn't fall into the category of domestic terrorism.

I was thinking that and then CNN interviewed a terrorism expert (FBI?) who said what I was thinking.

Yes, Noel.......just what I've been thinking.  Anyone who does these things is out to t*rrorize, right?

That's how I see it from what little we know now and from the Mayor's comment that it was not terrorism.  It was done outside on a public street where there would be a lot of people.

Now it is being reported they found a second device, a pressure cooker with wires and a cell phone.

Good friends of ours live on W. 18th St between 5th and 6th Ave. Thankfully they are away for the weekend. What a mess their neighborhood is right now with all the streets closed.

There was also an explosion this morning in a trash can in Seaside Park NJ. It's not known if they are related.

I swear, the world is going mad.

This is so scary!

We can speculate all we want, but the fact is, we are not the police, and we are not at the scene of the crime, gathering data.

We are not the trained investigators who is going through the evidence.

I will wait to hear what they say.

They have already held a press conference.  The police have already issued information which has been noted here.  Not speculation.

I guess I'm on the same thinking page as the terr. expert that Noel mentioned.  So far.  (I don't have cable tv.)  But, I usually just follow my own common sense/intuition, right or wrong.  (And I often wish I were wrong.)

In fact, the police have just given the public a photo of the second device which has been found.

Now they are showing the video of the explosion, also released by authorities, also not speculation.
