At least 25 people have been injured after a possible explosion at

135 West 23rd Street in Manhattan, the FDNY says.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. 24 of those injuries are

minor, and one injury is being described as serious. No fatalities

have been reported, and there is no word yet on what caused the

possible explosion.

As a precaution, the NYPD bomb squad is searching area trash

cans for any secondary devices.

I've been reading about it for the last hour! No need to press the panic button because NYC has explosians all the time but the conspiracies have already begun. A nut out in Colorado has already stated without FACTS that it was a bomb!

Yes, there has been an explosion on a busy thoroughfare in NYC.  Gas has been ruled out but no cause as yet.  The NYC news channels have not broken into regular programming for any special reports.

Very sad, and wishing them well with complete recoveries.  (No news here, (so far); not even a ticker-tape stream at bottom of the tv.)

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

CNN is reporting on it.  No one's injuries are life threatening.  Hopefully, there are no other explosions.

I wish people would wait for facts before they start reporting what ifs.

Wasn't there a bomb found in Jersey and they had to cancel a race.  News said if they hadn't found it, it was scheduled to blow when the runners were there!  They said it was a small device similar in explosion size to the one in Boston.  That was horrible!

Maybe the NY explosion is totally unrelated, but it makes you wonder.
