Unles someone here on the board is really Jim Bob or Michelle, I don't think you can get a reliable answer to your question.

The new show must not be doing well so they need to start a rumor to ramp up interest.  I don't think Jim Bob would under any circumstances kill the goose that laid the golden egg (so to speak).

I really doubt they'd divorce. Too much money at stake. Anna can't even divorce Josh after his molestation and "escort" scandals

Michelle and Anna need to leave. IMO a divorce show would get lots of ratings. 

Amy 's father filed for divorce the end of last year.
