Yup. Mine dates back to grade school, too. I still have that recurring dream about forgetting to study for a test. Wild!
On that show "My So-Called Life," the main character said the ticking of the clock on "Sixty Minutes" gives her the blues.

@Goldengate8361 , when I worked (I am retired) I'd start getting depressed Sunday afternoons, I am sure glad those days are long gone, I hated Mondays!

I loved my job and yes, I started to feel just a bit depressed toward late afternoon on Sundays. I had four staff member's and each one said the same thing. In all honesty I sincerely believe it was because the weekends went by so quickly we felt we didn't have enough time to enjoy our time off.
Saturdays meant grocery shopping and many other chores we didn't have time for during the week which felt as though we really had one day to enjoy, and that was Sunday. Since retirement of course one day is like the other, they are all just about the same.

Hmmm! Sunday night blues but "no interest in retiring"? To each be their own. I personally am not even aware of the day of the week unless I have an appointment. Retired 28 years ago and have never looked back.

@hckynut- many people enjoy a career and like going to work everyday. @Goldengate8361 is probably one of those. My dad enjoyed his job and was sad the day he retired. To this day, he misses going to work each day.
It's great for you that you've been retired for 28 years and enjoy it, but there are a lot of people out there that enjoy working. I'm one of them.

Good. The thread title is a bit deceiving for me. I personally look forward look to things I enjoy, Sunday through Sunday.

I traveled on Saturday to visit an elderly parent, so this weekend feels particularly short; I didn’t get to run usual errands. I have a great job and I’m grateful for that, but I get so tired of work....just venting. I have no interest in retiring either. Anyone else feel this way on Sunday nights?
It happens to me before Sunday night. Sometimes it happens on Saturday. I love my job so that isn’t it; I just have a lot more to do on weekends than I ever get done!

I love my job AND I love Mondays, and still I get the Sunday night blues.... try figuring that one out.

I used to get a little sad on Sunday nights. Now that I’m retired I get sad on Fridays! 😆
Something that made me chuckle on my way to work one day was seeing an older couple go by me in the passing lane and written on the side of their RV was the following: No More Mondays.
I wanted to honk in agreement! I figured they’d worked long and hard for their retirement and deserved it.
