@Goldengate8361 Not anymore since I retired in June, 2017. I used to experience it though for most of my working life, so I well know your angst. It is hard to shake it off.
Remember to use some of the weekends to do something fun, for yourself, not just errand, housekeeping, etc. And do use your vacation to break up the work routine.
I used to try to do some of the house work on weeknights after work just so I had a bit more "me" time on the weekends that flew so quickly.
For me, retirement has been so enjoyable. I especially like grocery shopping on weekdays in uncrowded stores and having time, in good weather, to take a leisurely walk, take in a movie matinee, see a museum exhibit on a weekday, and so forth. I take the DC Metro on off peak hours so I avoid crowds for that, too.
I am now in charge of my days and can be more spontaneous or flexible when a great opportunity arises. The best part for me is in the winter (which I dislike) when that bad snow or ice storm is afoot in the morning I can pray for those who MUST go out in it to get to work, pray for them, and either go back to bed or make another pot of tea, curled up with a good book.

I guess I’m in the minority as I’ve never felt blue on a Sunday night. The weekend is too short to waste part of it feeling sad has always been my thought process.

I disliked the repetiveness of dressing up nicely every day...driving to work, then driving home five days a week. Such a waste of time. I also disliked the bureaucracy and employees who took their problems to work and annoyed everyone else.
So, yes, there often was a feeling of dread on Sunday evenings.
I liked my work alot, but would have rather worked alone. My profession was one I couldn't have done at home, so I was stuck.
So, I still jump for joy I am retired. No more Sunday evening blues.

I do get Sunday stress. My coping mechanism is to be as organized as possible, to an extreme degree. It helps a lot. I am dreading tomorrow because my boss wants to talk about something I am not feeling confident about. Oh well this happens a lot I’ll just suffer through it and move on. I think I may have some anxiety issues fueling this thought process. Thoughts to all of you suffering a similar situation.

When I worked you bet I got the Sunday afternoon blues, and everyone I know got them too. The weekend just weren’t long enough. For me retirement is like one long weekend , and I love it. 😻

Before I got laid off and said I’m done with corporate America 5 years ago and never went back I would cry every Sunday afternoon. I dreaded that job (maybe it wasn’t the job I hated so much but the company drama, politics and general BS) and was simply hanging on until the next round of layoffs. Got my years severance pay and said enough.

When I was working, no I never got the blues on Sundays because I worked every weekend. Sunday was just another work day.

I can’t totally relate to this.
