I have been married for almost 40 years and the only time I ironed was the first couple of years after we were married because I thought I was supposed to iron everything like my mother did. Everything here is casual. I don't even own an iron anymore. If I see something in the store I like I bunch it up in a ball. If it wrinkles it stays in the store.  Plus it's to hot here to be bothered ironing.

I hate wrinkles so I sure do iron.  You can wear the most expensive stylish outfit but if it needs ironing you might as well just throw anything on.  I know many who buy status high end clothing but don't bother ironing which just defeats the purpose of the look and many others who buy way less expense clothing but their overall look is better.  In the end it's everyone'e choice to iron or not.

I do.   I have an iron and board both upstairs and downstairs.    I iron downstairs and do touch ups upstairs.

I don't iron very much since being widowed, but there are pieces that I do. I am the rare bird that enjoys ironing for an hour or two, it becomes a Zen exercise for me.

I do iron. More often in the summer months. I like the "crisp" look it gives certain items in my wardrobe. I like the look of an ironed white shirt or a camp shirt!

I iron almost everyday -- the items I am going to wear that day.  I still work, and wear dress pants -- those need to be freshed up between washings. Even my tshirts are wringled;  I even iron my lighter-weight sweaters.

What am I doing wrong that my stuff always needs to be ironed?

When my cleaners changed hands, I wasn't happy with the new owners.  I decided I would just wash and iron my husband's shirts myself.  That lasted one week.

I love to iron for how nice clothes can look. But I'm here when the dryer plays it's music and I just go hang stuff up. With my back now, that's a plus.

I iron what needs to be ironed, which isn't much of my wardrobe anymore! I take things out of the dryer when still a little damp and hang them, and if there are wrinkles in tees or anything like that, I just spray them with water and smooth them out before hanging. For woven cotton shirts or most woven cotton pants (not jeans!), I still give them a quick press. (If I'm "dressing up" for something, I do iron what I will be wearing, but my lifestyle is very casual.)
