My iron board is always out and I will touch up things if they need it. I will not wear something wrinkled. I see people who never iron.....it is obvious. They look unkempt and a mess. That is just not me.

I don't iron a lot, because we dress pretty casually most of the time, but I do for dress clothing, and some household things. Iron curtains every winter when they get washed during my 'spring cleaning'.
What I really hate to see is kids graduating with their cap and gown just taken out of the package and put on, with all the creases and wrinkles. Of course they are old enough to be able to do it themselves, but I can't imagine any parent letting a kid go to such a function looking like that.

What am I doing wrong that my stuff always needs to be ironed?
@Peaches McPhee Doing wrong?? Nothing! You just like to look nice where most people do not care or bother to.

Yes, I like a clean crisp crease in dress pants for myself and my husband. I also iron tops and shirts; sometimes the collars need a touch up. My GE iron broke a few weeks ago, and I splurged and bought a Rowenta. I haven't been that impressed. I guess I thought it would make ironing much easier, but it hasn't. I liked my GE iron better.

I have a Rowenta and it is so big and I always stand too close and accidentally burst of steam my bust area ouch!
Can we say bust area? LOL
@Pqfan THEY must hang pretty low LOL!
@SeaMaiden LOL!
This made me laugh so much!
I found out how powerful the burst of steam is the hard way.

I iron my DH's shirts because I love him, and he works. I am retired at home. We are in our 70's, and ironing is my chore. I like for him (and me) to look nice, whether dressy or casual.
He doesn't cook either. I do all the cooking, but he makes a mean reservation, as they say.
I am old school and there are just some things I was brought up knowing that women should do and some things men should do. He does his part, and I do mine.
We will have been married for 50 years this June. So it works for us.
