That is what I call a self care day.
It is a day when you do what you want to recharge or just relax and that recharges too.
As someone with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue there are days when I feel guilty for not doing much but I have to realize that the only one I am letting down when I feel guilty is myself.
Enjoy the days when you just do a "take off".

Rarely a whole day. I can fool myself into thinking that I was productive if I do some little thing.
I don't count doing little chores or gym type things as doing anything.

@wismiss Nothing wrong with that, we all need a day off now and then....I hope you enjoyed your day.
I have a friend that constantly complains about not getting things done around her house...but to be honest she rarely works at what needs to be done. I have grown weary of listening to her talk about all that needs to be done. Even during the shut down she didn't get much done in the house. Obviously not my problem but just get tired of hearing about it...and yes I have offered to help her with yard work or heavy lifting in the house.

Enjoy my mental health days and my structured days. I need both to keep balanced.

I often wish I could do this, but I've been in caregiving situations continuously for the past 10+ years, and I own a business that is open every single day.
I have days where I do less than other days. That's called a lazy day, for me.

I always take Sundays off. Alll I do is sit, eat and do whatever else my heart desires. But the rest of the week is regimented. My life is a schedule and I stay on it. I feel comfortable that way. That gives me a sense of stability and a feeling that I'm in control...at least up until the pandemic hit! lol!

@Kachina624 wrote:@wismiss I have many days like you describe. I have good intentions but often don't get much done. When you live alone, there's not much incentive; everything will still be there tomorrow. I find the less I do, the less I want to do.
I feel the same way @Kachina624 but tomorrow I have a big day. Picking up groceries at curb side, bringing into house and putting away. Will need a nap after that! Hard to get motivated when it's just me and dog doesn't complain.

I would love to have one day to myself to do nothing. Working from home full time, our 7 year old grandchild lives with us, 3 dogs and a husband. There's not enough hours in a day! One day sounds heavenly.

I used to allow myself a day off now and then. The last 6 months, I haven't had the opportunity to do that.
