Re: Do You Ever Just Take a Day Off?

Every Sunday - a day of rest.  The only "work" I do is cook for myself.

Generally spend the day reading, knitting.  Nice weather - going for a walk, sitting in the park and reading.

It's a precept of our church - and we were raised this way.

@Kachina624 Your description may be accurate my Dear, but I always greatly appreciate you having my "back".  You definitely raise the sunshine in my day!

Not really.  Maybe that's why I have accumulated 14.5 weeks of vacation time at work.  I think my boss is about getting ready to force me to take some time off.  Where the heck am I going to go?  It's such a pain anymore.

The last place I worked I was hired on with a really nice package.  But we were limited to accrued of 1,000 hours or they would pay us out each paycheck.

A couple of us made it our goal to make payroll crazy, she was right a cross the hall and let us know 😂

We could put a card table up on a porch each week and have lunch!!!

@Dinaki

The original post said "I got up this morning with a list of things to do and guess what? I haven't done a single thing on my list." My joke was that she needed to stop making those lists.

Re: Do You Ever Just Take a Day Off?

@Still Raining

LOL!  We cap out at 600 hours.  I'm at 550 (ish), so I'll cap out before the end of the year.   I'll then be forced to take time off.  On one hand that's great, but on the other, there are 2 others on my team & the are taking a few days off every month.  It places a strain on the rest of my team to pick up their slack.  The problem is with what I do, I don't have a back-up, which is why I rarely take time off.  I don't mind it though...I live beachfront so I'm told every day is supposed to be a holiday...HA!
