Re: DWTS Chat ~ Week 6 10.19.15

[ Edited ]

Got caught up from Nick on.  I loved Nick's dance.  I thought it was really good.  I liked Alek as Elvis, LOL.  Loved it when he went out in public in full Elvis mode.  For someone who is not in the entertainment industry, he is really stepping out of his comfort zone and trying hard.  I think he is cute too.  Great smile.

I loved Tamar's dance.  The best of the night for me.  I knew, I just knew, she had it in her.  Really good job.  My only quibble with her dance is, instead of Rythm Nation, I wish the dance could have been the dance from Nasty Boys.  It might not be quite as iconic, but I just like that song better, LOL.  Smiley Happy

Anyway great show last night.  I really enjoyed it.  I do think the right person went home.  It makes me worried for Hayes and Alek now though.  They are both getting so much better but are still not top tier (I do however think that Hayes was underscored last night).  I like them both very much, but they will need to really step up their game now.

For me Bindi, Tamar, Nick, and Carlos all have what it takes to win the competition.  I think they will be the final four.  I think that Alexa and Andy are the second tier and could also slip in there.  Which leaves Hayes and Alek as my third tier but honestly, I think these two are getting much better every week.

I would like to see Nick or Tamar win but I have a feeling that Bindi will likely take it, she apparently can do no wrong with the judges.

Yep, definitely getting down to the best dancers.  Bring it!!!!!

I like Andy alot, too.  I love his music and think he's trying really hard on DWTS.  He has improved a lot, and I thought his dance last night was great.

I'm surprised he didn't hurt his back lifting her. It was painful to watch.

Honestly, it really was painful to watch.  I was just waiting for them to go down.  I am so glad they didn't but oh boy, it looked like a certainty there for a second.

Re: DWTS Chat ~ Week 6 10.19.15

I just watched a repeat of Bindi  and Derek's dance on ABC's site.  She really didn't deserve a ten.  Not only was she wobbling on the lift, but the first time she was supposed to extend her arm early in the dance, it was only half extended.   And she heels slipped once early on also, so her footing wasn't correct.  She by no means deserved a perfect score.

There is something "clunky" and not graceful about her dancing to me, and I doubt whether I'd ever give her a 10 if only for that reason.  When I think of Rumer Willis and how graceful she and many other female winners were, Bindi's dancing seems even clunkier.

Seems to me that Bindi could eventually be quite an actress, too.  (Said and meant in a nice way.)  And, she sure has a lot of energy!

Hi ladies! I've missed the last two episodes - will catch up sometime on DVR I hope. I just had to comment on the rumba between Alek and Emma a week ago. Wow! Do you all think they deserved 7's? Bruno's comment about Alek's not sliding his feet? It looked like he did to me!

(I saw only Alek and Emma's dance because everyone here was talking about it!)

Re: DWTS Chat ~ Week 6 10.19.15

I must be in the minority here, but I find Leah Remini very hard to watch; very uncomfortable with some of the things she says and does.  I certainly hope she doesn't ever get chosen as a permanent host.  JMHO.

I was very glad that Paula went home last night.  I couldn't even bring myself to listen to whatever she said at the end, just fast forwarded through it.  I felt like Louis drew the short straw with her.  Seriously, how much could he do?

It's about time they gave Louis someone who could be a serious contender.  I can't imagine them ever pairing Derek with someone like that.  Makes me wonder how they decide which pro gets which "celebrity".
