I totally agree with you ! I like to watch his show because I think he is funny and has a cute rapport with his audience and guests. I know of him by his credentials and work in Cardiology.

Because of his career, it would be hard to have a show about his job. People wouldn't watch. But long before he became a surgeon he was very into the health of a body, because of the way he was parented and raised in Turkey. His parents are very health and body conscious. They had huge farm lands where the grew all of these healthy things he promotes, and he studied this as a young man and continued when he went to school.

He is very interested in what is good for the body and makes for optimum heart health. It only makes sense that this would have to be the focus of his show.

He's not a quack, but he does try to introduce many different kinds of products, foods, and lifestyles from around the world to enlighten all of us about what is out there in 2014 for optimum health. Doesn't mean he says we all have to do it, but be apprised of it.

Many of the things he teaches us about our body, how it works, disease, etc. I find very interesting. This type of knowledge we were never taught in school, etc.

So I enjoy him, take it all with a grain of salt, and don't get anxiety about his lotions, potions, and other things. But I do enjoy learning about these things. knowledge is good. I don't want to get stale as I age and vegetate. His show is much better than some of the pathetic stuff that comes on at the same time in my area anyway.

It's up to each of us to use our own common sense anyway with shows like this.
