Okay, I'm not posting the link, but the article is on huffpost dot com, if you'd like to read the whole thing.
"It’s common knowledge that cotton underwear is the best choice for the health of your nether regions. Many people, however, choose to ignore this advice for the sake of fashion and opt for knickers that are made out of lace or satin.
Yet three countries, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, effectively banned lace panties starting back in 2014. The bans aren’t about modesty or concerns about what people might be doing in the privacy of their bedrooms. Instead, these governments think that lace underwear without a cotton lining is unhygienic and poses a threat to one’s health. In the wake of these bans, protests broke out as women demanded the right to choose their underwear.
The biggest danger in wearing underwear without a cotton crotch is that moisture can build up, which allows yeast and bacteria to thrive, the expert explained."
This interesting article went on to describe body parts that would not be considered G-rated.
Can you believe that some countries BANNED a certain type of underwear? Can you believe this was discussed and debated by government officials before a "ban" was voted and decided upon?

LOL, NO I can't believe they were banned! I can only imagine in Russia what kind of "meetings" those must've been! Didn't realize they cared about health so much lol! Wonder how many women made up the committees? Wow! 😮
Thanks for posting this.😃

Years ago, doctors use to say cotton panties were better.

Yes, my dr always said to either wear cotton or silk because they're natural and breathable. I try to only wear cotton.😃🌸

Yes, that's true, and they're right; but they shouldn't be banned.
I think there are some men that want more and more control of women. I also think that, deep down, there are men (I almost married one but I recognized his dislike just in time) who secretly--really and truly--hate women and this is one way of expressing that.

So that's what goes on in those important governmental, closed door meetings! No wonder the world's in the mess that it's in. Anyone doing studies on tidy whities vs. boxers? It gets tiresome when we women are always under scrutiny for anything we think, say, wear or do.

Most men don't wear lace undies so what do they know? It's the cotton crotch panel that's important and if you know underwear then you know what to look for even in the lace ones.

@Tinkrbl44 After reading the article, and knowing the countries that are involoved, I ABSOLUTELY believe they did it!👍 I am SO THANKFUL❤ to live where I do when I read stories like this!🥰

All they had to do is to require panty manufacturers to manufacture cotton croch panties.
I believe most companies here in the US require manufacturers to use cotton in the crotch area.
It can be a health issue, but banning lace altogether seems odd.

So true @SilleeMee and most women's underwear now have the cotton crotch and that's what counts. My lace undies have them.
