I just checked excede.com the popular satellite Internet here rates. They are $149/mo after the first 3 months for 30G which is the least you'd need for streaming much less internet, email etc. Netflix, hulu etc would be in addition to that. Curious what satellite Internet service you have?

Never heard of excede, we ditched Direct because they kept digging in our pockets.  I have Verizon DSL internet, Roku, Netflix, CBS All Access and SlingTV for approximately $60 per month.  I highly urge anyone that is considering abandoning satellite to do so if they want to get more from their entertainment budget.

I'd love to have dsl. Unfortunately the only wifi Internet where I live is thru a satellite dish, think directtv. Excede.com is the local provider.

I just cancelled cable two weeks ago and bought a digital antenna, I just needed to cut back expenses. I am sharing Netflix and I am enjoying it. I do not get the shopping channels any longer:-( however, I had to trim down my spending and don't need to be tempted. Cable is not a necessity for me...mani/pedis are....lol I work long hours and wasn't really watching that much....my son is not happy about the loss of ESPN.
