Last Thursday got gas on my way to work, 4.59, on the way home, 4.99. Today was 5.03.   This is for 87.   At least I only have to drive to work 2 days a week. 50 miles round trip.  SW PA, Pittsburgh

Tampa area I pulled in at Wawa to get gas at $4.69/gal by the time I actually got out to pump it $4.89😳.

Shocking as I don't drive much but many dr appts for spouse this week decided to "tap it off".  Ugh but still better off than others here.

Shoekitty said, I think the price of gas is determined by taxes.  There is state, county and city taxes.  Good grief.  I know that's why gas is so high in California. Oh, and then there is a tax on the tax..seriously.  Lol

Yesterday, Shell listed gas $5.19gal, MD suburb of DC.  Bought gas there about 3 weeks ago $4.49gal.

Ouch, that must have hurt, @ScarletDove .   I haven't filled mine in awhile and am not looking forward to finding out how much the price has climbed...

I live in rural Western Ohio.  Gas everywhere is $5.09.  Electric went up 40%.  You heard that right!

Well, in SoCal the costs are so horrifying that I now "top off" my tank when it gets down to 3/4 full.     I tell myself that it isn't so bad when I'm only getting a quarter of a tank at a time.

Last week, my favorite cheap station was $5.95.  Today, that same station was $6.31.   

And it's supposed to be getting up to 95-100 degrees the next few days.  I'm going to stay home and read.
