Re: Cost of Gas Where I Live

I'm near Silicon Valley.  It ranges from 6 bucks to over 7 for Diesel. I get premium. I heard of a place in Mendocino, mountains that was nearly 10 bucks

Re: Cost of Gas Where I Live

My DD moved to CA last year.

I feel for all of you out there....

Paid $4.79 the other day in Western New York and that was AFTER the June 1 suspension of the NYS gas tax.....it has jumped 3 times since then!

Sadly, didn't help at all.

Re: Cost of I got gas Gas Where I Live

I got gas a week ago and it was $4.89, but that was about 12 miles from where I live and is cheaper, but went up that way to get my hair cut. According to the local news we are now a bit above $5.00, but I haven't been out anywhere, so not sure about that. I'm in east central PA.

Another Southern California respondent. I was at 1/2 a tank the other day and stopped at Costco to fill up before work. I paid $5.89 for regular and spent $72.00.

I forgot to add that I fill up every week, and the price has been increasing every week for the last several weeks.

Re: Cost of Gas Where I Live

$5.69 gallon in Phoenix.  Everytime I pass a gas station the price seems to jump higher.  There doesn't seem to be any "top" and I'm not sure why our prices are so much higher than other states (except, of course, CA).

Re: Cost of Gas Where I Live

My son was here Saturday to mow. He said he got 15 gal. of gas, 15 gal. of diesel and filled his truck (some kind of Chevy) and it was over $200.00.

Re: Cost of Gas Where I Live

Yesterday I drove past a gas station near me and saw the prices at $6.19 and $6.29.

I'm the anomaly in that I have to fill my tank about twice a year, at this point.  But I've been trying to just get a little here and there to keep it btwn 3/4 and full.

For people who have to drive to/from work each day I can't even imagine how they manage.  Smiley Sad  My husband has a company vehicle, so they pay for gas/upkeep/licensing/ins/etc.  Thank goodness for small favors!
