Re: Compensated influencers here?

If QVC is interested in making someone a compensated influencer, I have a camera and an opinion.

Compensated influencers? Please no. If someone is being paid, they are merely hyping something that they are paid to sell, not necessarily would one get an honest opinion!

I gave up watching YT influencers who are paid and interestingly enough, I rarely watch QVC, but I do shop the website

Aren't the QVC hosts paid influencers?

About as obvious as the nose on your face for one poster here. Of course, this is my opinion only. But I am no longer playing or buying into her game.

Yep and I think it's dishonest for people not to say they're being compensated for posting so others aren't kept unaware.

It would be solicitation, and not allowed here. The last thing they would consider is honesty.

I follow several influencers who promote some products on QVC like Tarte, IT and Elemis, Tatcha and Tula. Tarte sent several people and their families including parents to Puerto Rico recently. Maureen Kelly seems to be the same sweet person who was on QVC many years ago. Most people said the Tarte trips are the most generous trips they ever go on. They sent some single influencers without children and maybe they were single to Dubai. Hearing how the whole influencer process works is interesting. Many are easily making 7 figures. I'm pretty sure the women I follow  are not these message boards.

Maureen Kelly sold Tarte in 2014.

Absolutely. I would add that in some cases it's not immediately obvious, as in the case of those who start by using disarming charm and friendliness to gain trust and then begin directing their "posting friends" to specific sites and brands.
It bothers me to see people misled or used. 😟

When I helped moderate an international forum years ago I saw this pop up now and then and I guess you could say my "spidey senses" were trained by experience and intuition.😉

I refuse to go to any influencer sites.  They seem compensated to me, so why bother?

Re: Compensated influencers here?

here is just one way to do it and the link is available via the homepage of QVC.

QVC - US - QVC - US (impact.com)

there are also a lot of "bargain hunters" on facebook with lots of followers that will post great deals/discounts from many places, including QVC or HSN, with links. almost all of them will disclose that they get some type of compensation from the vendor.
