After the Florida shooting, someone in the police department suggested ways to respond.  Run, call for help or throw things.  I suppose the guy was going on that.

Or have an RO that actually runs in to try to engage the shooter....that is a good way to respond as well

Would be a very short fight.

Really...you're going there?

I never mentioned the parents.  I was citing the stupidity of the "plan."

@Noel7 You are an angry person. I am choosing to not engage with you anymore. You are way off base and applying your generalities to me doesn't make it so. I hope you have a better evening.

Re: Classrooms are armed with a bucketful of rocks

The real stupidty in all of this is there is no help, nothing  at all..NO one is willing to either  take federal funds and hire security to protect these kids..Ban semi automatic weapons, or anything else..they just look the other way

What you call squirrel talk, is one mans attempt to protect childen, while everyone else looks away ,and does nothing at all...How many more times will this happen, before  people  feel  enough  shame to do something?

And this guy, and you apparently, think "rocks" are the answer? Ho'k then!

Re: Classrooms are armed with a bucketful of rocks

Touching upon the inequity of response.... I am a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do.  I've had extensive training, I've taught, I've fought and I've been in competitions.  I am extremely confident in my abilities however  my training is NOT equal to a gun or knife.  Engaging someone with a gun or knife with my abilities would probably get me killed.  I would try, but I know the percentages in the outcome and know that I am not nearly fast enough  to get the upper hand.  That's what I'm talking about.  Yes, the Super is trying, and that's admirable but there's no way.

Yes, I agree with @cherry, it's better than nothing, it's something, but it's unfortunately not the answer and the answer seems to be something no one wants to address.

All the stones will be used for is for bullies to throw them at innocent children.
