I still send cards.  I love receiving them, too, but every year I receive less and less.  I understand that postage is expensive, but as long as I am able to write them out and pay for the postage, I will continue to do so.  I don't get any letters from people with all their year long activities, achievements, etc.  I occasionally get a little note inside the card, which I love.  So many people just sign their name and that's it.  A lot don't even put your name on the inside of the card.  I think --- why bother -- seems so impersonal.

I stopped sending out cards years ago.

I do appreciate the cards I receive - I read them and toss them in the recycle bin.

Will only be sending out 8 this year and will enclose a note with each. I enjoy both sending and receiving them.

LTT1:   Love, love those fair isle sweaters!!

Very nice, unique card!

Btw, 'Alexa' tells me fair isle is spelled fair aisle.......I always spell/spelled it fair isle, which is how it's spelled almost everywhere, fashion-wise.

Anyway, I love your card!  Heart

I send out cards with our family picture on it.  Love receiving picture cards too.  Some send us cards with pictures included. I have saved them and like to see how the kids have grown.  Many send pictures of their pets as well.  All good.

I was so sick last Christmas and sent out my 80 but it was hard. Wrote a shorter than normal note with a vague We Are Ok vibe. This year I got diagnosed Parkinsons and a lot of healthcare visits and I am better. I bought 80 cards to do and I am a little concerned about stinking up a Christmas card with serious news but...if I was another person, I would want to know. We don't do social media. I will keep it brief and accentuate hope.

I only send cards to a few old friends that live far from me.  So that would be a total of 3 - I still have Christmas stamps from 3 or 4 years ago lol.

I used to send lots of cards, not just for Christmas,but Easter, birthdays, etc.

I still send a few Christmas cards, but only a handful now. I also send a couple online cards...the Jacquie Lawson website has beautiful ones.

Cards used to be a way to "catch up" on news. Now we talk, text and email to people constantly. We are always in touch so the cards have lost a bit of significance.

@LTT1, love the card and love that you keep in touch with friends from school.  I went home for my high school's 200th anniversary and all the neighbourhood friends got together.  It was a great experience.

@Lilysmom1

Wow! What fun you must have had at that get-together celebration!

As others have mentioned, when we really want to keep in touch with those friends, it is so much quicker and fulfilling to use technology!

Still... the holiday season makes me enjoy "pretty things" so I still do some of it!
