We are snowbirds so we HAVE TO refill our Rx at a national chain that is available in both the small towns we live in. For us that is Walgreens as there is no CVS in our Pa. town. If we ever stop doing the snowbird thing I think I'll probably go with Publix pharmacy as we are at Publix often anyway.

Extra Bucks as a later poster said are dollars back for purchasing an advertised product or reaching a certain amount in a category, i.e., health and beauty, pharmacy prescriptions filled, etc.
What I have to check out now: do they or don't they expire. May be something relatively new.

This one's easy - CVS. I don't have prescription drugs so don't use their pharmacy. But their coupons, coupon policies, and rewards are great -- better than Wags.

For one-time medications, we use the outpatient pharmacy at our medical center. For maintenance medications we use the mail-order pharmacy attached to our Medicare Part D Plans.
Works fine for us.

We're not on any medications, so I'm not tied to a specific pharmacy. When we do need an occasional prescription filled, we go to Walgreen's.
I go to both CVS and Walgreen's. There are two CVS's and two Walgreen's that are both close to my house and on the streets that I travel.

Walgreens.
It is much more convenient for me, the store in my area is much cleaner, they have better sales and I have a customer card so I earn money on purchases made.
The staff is also excellant at my Walgreens.

Although some prices at Walgreens are high, CVS' prices are even higher. I go to Walgreens and take advantage of the 20% off discount the first Tues. of the month for 55 and older.

Actually, I really liked Eckerds.........then CVS took over their building.....I liked them as well.......now nothing is there...all closed down in our small town......both had great gift ideas.....

I have to get all my prescriptions filled either at a CVS or via mail order. I hate CVS stores. The CVS pharmacies in my area are all very, very slow. Sometimes they don't have the medications I need in stock and I have to get a partially filled prescription and come back or wait to get a whole prescription. The stores don't have as much variety as the Walgreens stores and are often not as clean and bright. (I think that depends on your area, not the entire chain.) I notice that CVS also has higher prices.
CVS also likes to refill my prescriptions without asking, sending me a text message saying my prescriptions are ready for pickup. It sounds like a great and helpful idea, but my prescriptions are all for 90-day amounts and are not cheap, so when they try to refill them all at once and then contact me to say come in and pick up your $400 worth of medications, I'm a little put out, to say the least. I usually call them and tell them that I am not coming to get whatever it is and will refill it myself on my schedule.
If I need a short drugstore trip for an essential, I'll stop in Walgreens. Usually I prefer to wait and pick things up at my local HEB grocery store, which has a complete drugstore inside and much better prices than either CVS or Walgreens.
